About this tool
Chinese Capital Amount turns numbers such as `1234567.89` into standard financial Chinese uppercase—for example 壹佰贰拾叁万肆仟伍佰陆拾柒元捌角玖分 (simplified style) or the traditional equivalent with 圓/正 where applicable. It does not prepend currency labels such as 人民币 (Renminbi / CNY), 新臺幣 (New Taiwan dollar / TWD), 港幣 (Hong Kong dollar / HKD), or 澳門幣 (Macanese pataca / MOP)—only the amount in words—so you can paste the line into forms that already have a separate currency field or header.
Key features
- Financial uppercase: Uses formal numerals and grouping (零壹贰…, 万·亿·兆, etc.), not casual Chinese digits (一二三四…).
- Decimals: Up to 角 and 分; when there is no fractional part, ends with 整 (simplified) or 正 (traditional).
- Variants: Choose simplified vs traditional on the English UI; zh-CN and zh-TW pages fix the variant.
- Validation: Non-negative numbers only; at most two decimal places; same order-of-magnitude limit as other amount tools on ToolGee.
When to use it
- Filling invoices, contracts, receipts, and bank-style forms that need Chinese uppercase amounts.
- Cross-checking uppercase text against the numeric figure.
Limitations
- For reference only; follow your organisation’s finance and legal rules.
- Does not print a currency label (e.g. 人民币 (CNY), 新臺幣 (TWD), 港幣 (HKD), 澳門幣 (MOP)); add the correct wording in your document or template where required.
